Praia da Vila
Praia da Vila is Imbituba's signature break and one of the most consistent quality waves in southern Brazil — a sand-and-rock beach/point beside the old port that has hosted WSL and national contests. It picks up S–SE swell and holds shape from head-high to double-overhead, with fast, occasionally hollow walls for improvers and advanced surfers. Best on autumn–winter cold fronts (roughly May–September) with NW offshores; it breaks year-round but goes smaller in summer.

Not a true beginner spot on a solid swell — it gets powerful and there are rocks near the port headland. On small, clean days the inside and the adjacent Praia do Porto are learner-workable, and the local schools run lessons on the mellower nearby beaches (Itapirubá, Ribanceira) rather than out at the Vila peak.
