Using this site

By using Surf Camp Scout you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the site. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version.

Information, not a guarantee

We work hard to be accurate and honest, and we label our data by source and confidence. But surf spots, conditions, seasons, prices, and camp details change — sometimes daily. Everything here is general guidance to help you plan, not a promise about what you'll find when you arrive.

Surfing is dangerous. Waves, currents, reefs, and weather can injure or kill. Nothing on this site is a safety assessment or a substitute for local knowledge, lifeguards, official forecasts, and your own judgment. Always check conditions locally and surf within your ability. You use this information, and surf, at your own risk.

Bookings

We're a directory, not a booking agent — reservations happen on the camp's own website, under their terms. We hold no affiliate relationships and earn no commission on any outbound link, so nothing you book pays us. If that changes we will say so here and on the listing itself before it takes effect.

Acceptable use

Don't scrape or bulk-copy the site, misuse the forms, attempt to break or overload it, or use the content to mislead. Feedback you send should be your own and not unlawful, abusive, or infringing.

Content & intellectual property

The site's editorial content, design, and data compilation are ours or our licensors'. When you send us feedback or submit a review, you grant us a non-exclusive right to use and display it on the sites we operate — today that is Surf Camp Scout and Surf Scout, listed below. You keep ownership of what you wrote.

We won't licence your review to anyone else, sell it, or put it behind a paywall. If we ever add a third site, this list changes before that happens, not after.

The sites we operate

Surf Camp Scout (surfcampscout.com) and Surf Scout (surfscout.co) are 2 front doors onto one catalogue, one account system and one set of reviews, run by the same people. Surf Camp Scout leads with camps and schools; Surf Scout leads with the waves themselves.

What that means in practice: your account works on both (you sign in separately on each, because a browser can't share a login across two different domains). A review you write appears on both. Your surf level, your history and any moderation decision are the same on both.

Reviews written before 18 August 2026 were submitted when this page said we could display them “on the site” — singular. We don't treat rewriting this page as your agreement to more than that. If you wrote one and would rather it stayed on Surf Camp Scout only, you can set that yourself: sign in and open your profile, where every review you've written has a switch for it. No reason needed, it takes effect immediately, it doesn't change the review itself, and you can switch it back whenever you like.

Third-party sites

We link to camps' own sites and other resources. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

No warranty & limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law,Surf Camp Scout is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its information.

Governing law & contact
