Pantín

The best-known wave on Spain’s emptiest good coast, a north-facing beach in Valdoviño that catches everything the North Atlantic sends and holds size better than most beach breaks. It hosts the Pantín Classic, one of the longest-running events in European surfing, at the turn of August into September. Galicia’s trade is obvious: colder, wetter, far fewer people.
