Praia de Geribá
Geribá is Búzios' signature surf beach — a nearly 2 km exposed beach break with shifting sandbars, a left-dominant middle peak (Meio) and a right off the north corner (Canto Direito). It is consistent much of the year, mellow enough to learn on the inside yet punchy and performance-worthy on a clean SE groundswell with offshore N–NE wind. Best in autumn–winter (Apr–Sep); summer is often small to flat.

One of the best learner beaches in Rio de Janeiro state — wide, sandy, and lined with surf schools right on the sand. Whitewater and the inside reforms are forgiving. Main hazards are crowds and other beginners rather than the wave itself; move away from the rocky Canto corner and mind rip currents when it gets bigger.
