About this camp
Suits families and adult beginners who want North County's mellower, less touristed side — Moonlight is an easy-access beach break with a genuine local scene rather than a lesson factory. Lessons are small-group or private, and there is an intermediate paddle-out for people who can already stand but cannot yet read a lineup, which is a real step-up product most schools skip. There is no lodging; lessons only. The honest downside is logistics: Encinitas is a half-hour drive north of central San Diego and you will need a car, and summer kids camps dominate their capacity.
