About this camp
This is a genuinely advanced destination and should not be treated as a learn-to-surf trip: G-Land is a long, fast, shallow reef left that punishes intermediates, whatever the camp's marketing says about beginner lessons. Joyo's is one of the two surviving camps at the break — shared air-conditioned bungalows with private bathrooms inside the national park, three meals a day, power and wifi, and a round-trip fast boat from Bali built into every package. The honest downsides are total: you are locked in, with no walking out, no restaurants and no nightlife; park fees are extra on arrival; and if the swell does not show, you sit and watch.
