About this camp
The most flexible and cheapest way into Santa Catalina — you pick the lodging tier, from a dorm up to a boutique hotel, and the camp wraps coaching, guiding and board use around it. Instruction covers the things beginners actually need in a reef-heavy zone: safety, self-rescue, priority and etiquette, with lessons at the beginner-friendly Playa Estero. The honest downside is that the lodging sits at partner properties rather than an owned campus, so quality varies with what you choose, and the short three-to-five-day format is less immersive than a full week.
