About this camp
Suits budget surfers and first-timers who want the whole week organised — bed, food, an hour of English-speaking instruction a day, and a lift to the break — on the world's longest left. Beginners are worked on the inside and whitewater sections, which is the honest call, because the point proper is a long, fast, paddle-heavy left that punishes weak paddlers. Lodging is simple: private rooms with private bathrooms, or dorms, plus a common area. The honest downsides are that it is a basic hostel-grade property with a WhatsApp-first booking flow and no availability calendar, and that marketing a learn-to-surf week at Chicama somewhat oversells a wave that mostly rewards intermediates.
