Founded in 1995 by the Prieto brothers, Vento Sul was the first surf school in Garopaba and remains the area's most established — founder Chico Prieto holds ISA, CBS and Surfing Australia instructor credentials. The family turned their beach house into a full complex: surf and SUP lessons on softboards, board and gear rental, a shop, a bar/restaurant and rental houses, so you can stay and learn in one place. It teaches from complete beginner to advanced and sits beachfront in the Morrinhos area of Garopaba, a short hop from Silveira and Ferrugem. Trade-off: it is a school-with-lodging rather than a packaged week-long camp, so structure and pricing are more a la carte.
