About this camp
This is the surf-trip end of the Nicaragua list rather than the surf-holiday end. The lodge runs two programmes — a Hardcore Surf package and a Beginner's package that adds lessons — and the hardcore one is the point: it starts at 6am and surfs until dark, with local guides running a fleet of 4x4 trucks and boats out to more than fifteen breaks inside a thirty-minute radius. It claims to be Nicaragua's first surf camp and resort, and holds a 5-of-5 Tripadvisor rating. The honest downsides are that nothing is published: no rates, no room types, no instructor ratio, no group cap anywhere on the official site, and the intensity that suits a strong intermediate will not suit someone taking their first lessons, despite the beginner tier.
