Oasis is a hostel first and a surf camp second, which is the honest way to read it. It sits behind the sand at Praia das Maçãs, seven minutes' walk from both that beach and Praia Grande, in an old railway holiday colony. The surf-and-yoga week bundles five two-hour surf classes at whichever break is working that day, five 75-minute Hatha sessions, seven breakfasts and three dinners with a bed. Dorms are 4, 6 and 8-bed with ensuite bathrooms; there are private doubles and glamping bell tents too. Arrivals are Saturdays and Wednesdays. Expect a young, social, budget crowd rather than a structured coaching pipeline.
