Lacunza International House is an established Spanish-language school in central San Sebastián running a combined surf-and-Spanish week: 20 morning Spanish classes in small groups plus 5 afternoon surf sessions, with board, wetsuit and an instructor included. Surf is on the city bays (Zurriola and nearby beaches). It is the least surf-intensive option on the Basque coast — only worth it if learning Spanish is half the point — but for that traveller it is genuinely one of a kind. A week can be booked with a student-residence private room or a local homestay.
