About this camp
A hostel-plus-surf-school on Avenida Miguel Stefano, one block back from Praia da Enseada and a short hop from Tombo and Guaiúba, the two beaches Guarujá surfers actually rate. The surf school has been running under the Curvão name since 1999 and the property keeps a surf shop and board rental on site, so lessons and equipment are handled in-house rather than farmed out to a partner. Accommodation is dorm-based: three mixed rooms — Enseada (14 beds), Tombo (8) and Guaiuba (8) — plus two female-only 8-bed rooms, all with private bathrooms. Expect a social, young, Brazilian crowd rather than a quiet week of coaching: there is a pool, a bar, a pool table, a tattoo studio, and a weekly programme of happy hours, karaoke, live bands and DJs. Good value and genuinely surf-run; not the place for early nights.
