About this camp
An oceanfront house in Punta Hermosa, the cluster of beaches about an hour south of Lima's airport where most Peruvian surfing happens. The stay is sold as graded packages rather than a single week — a beginner pack, an "explore" pack built around surf trips to the surrounding breaks, and a free-surfer pack for people who want a bed, a board and no instruction — with a surf school, guided trips and bike rental alongside. There is also a volunteer programme, which is worth knowing about because it shapes who you will be sharing the house with. Honest caveats: no rates are published on the site, so pricing here is unrecorded rather than estimated; room grades are described but capacities are not; and Punta Hermosa's marquee waves — Pico Alto above all — are serious, so the beginner offering happens on the gentler beaches nearby rather than out front.
